Jicama Fries

Jicama Fries


1 large Jicama peeled and sliced julienne style, like French fries
A handful of chopped fresh mint, cilantro, or parsley
Juice of 1 lemon or lime to taste
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1–2 tbs olive oil, optional and to taste
Salt and Pepper to taste


Toss all ingredients except the mint, cilantro, or parsley. Adjust lemon/ lime and salt and pepper to taste. If too acidic, add a touch of date sugar to cut the acidity. Sprinkle the chopped herbs on top when ready to serve. Just before plating do a final toss including the herbs so they are coated with the dressing and spices.
